BIO

Alexandros Maganiotis was born in Athens where he lives and works. He studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and Architectural design at “The Bartlett” at U.C.L. in London.  Participated in Rooms 2014 organized by Kappatos Gallery at Hotel St. George Lycabettus, in Athens. Participated in ART-ATHINA 2010 – 2016 – 2018.  In 2015 he presented his solo exhibition entitled: “Alphabet: The Icon of Letters” at the Center for Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, curated by Giannis Bolis. In the same year, his solo exhibition entitled “NOONE, Search for Identity” was held at the Skoufa Gallery in Athens.  His art project  “Alphabet” was chosen to represent Greece at the 7th Beijing Biennale held at the National Art Museum of China in 2017. In 2018 he participated in the exhibition ‘Cultural Memory” at the Archaeological Museum of Milos.  In 2019 at the Biennale in Mykonos. Selected for the Osten Biennial of Drawing 2020, Skopje, North Macedonia. He is a founding member and art director of The Project Gallery in Athens. He has participated in many group exhibitions in Austria, Greece, Belgium, France, Japan, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Russia, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the USA. His artworks are in the collection of the State Museum of Contemporary Art – MOMUS, the American College of Greece, the Museum of Lefkada Hearn in Japan, the Museum of Freud’s Dreams in St. Petersburg, the collection of Luciano Benetton, at the Municipal Gallery of Chania, at the A. & L. Katakouzinou Foundation, the Copelouzos Family Art Museum, FKP Collection and other private collections.
